Eloquiint

I know, I know, the title of this post is not really a word. But since my look is from one of my favorite brands, Eloquii, I decided to make a little play on words.

You know I can’t resist a black and white outfit combination with a red lip! This black crop top and patterned midi skirt were both on clearance on Eloquii’s website and I absolutely love them. Check them out! As with all their clothes, these pieces are flattering, comfortable, true to size, and well made. Kudos Eloquii, kudos.

You know I can’t resist a polka dot. And this sweet little number from Gwynnie bee (plus size clothing rental service…if you didn’t know that- where have you been?!) had an extra sweet price, only $8 to keep it! I wore this to the baby shower today (it’s a boy so I thought the color would be appropriate) and I got so many compliments! I added my adorable cherry earrings from eBay to this SAMYA Polka Dot Dress With Collar In Blue and a pair of red patent leather wedges along with my signature red lip. We were in Tarpon Springs, Fl and when I saw this soap shop named after ME, I just had to stop for a photo op.

Yankee Chic

Just because you’re going to a baseball game, or any sporting even for that matter, doesn’t mean you have to look frumpy. I also find all the athletic and team logo shirts to be very unflattering for women and really targeted specifically for men. So when I saw this Mossimo for Target maxi dress in Yankee blue & white, I knew it would be perfect for the game!

“P” is for…Polka dots!!!

I am so excited to talk you about my latest online find. It’s a clothing site called Gwynnie Bee that specializes in sizes 10 and up and has the most adorable dresses, skirts, tops, and pants. The best part though? You rent them! It’s basically like Netflix for clothes but better; you build a closet with all the items you want to try (you can even put the same item in different sizes just incase) they ship you your items (starting from 1 to 10 items out at a time depending on the plan you choose) for FREE and super fast, you get them, wear them, and send them back (in the included prepaid shipping package) and wait for your next shipment, that’s it! No dry cleaning, no nothing. Oh wait it gets even better, if you really love an item and can’t part with it, you can buy it at a discount!!!! Right now I’m enjoying my free one month trial buuuuut….unfortunately I don’t think my wallet will allow for me to continue. SO…what I’m hoping is that the lovely Gwynnie Bee will give me a complementary membership so I can share all my looks with you and advertise for them! Please say yes Gwynn! (I feel like we’re already at a nickname level friendship 😉 I hope it works out and I’ll keep all you readers posted! In the meantime, here’s one of my favorite looks I’ve gotten so far…

Every Spring Ross has a big dress sale and I scored BIG last week with several vintage inspired (plus size yay!) dresses for super low prices that I’m excited to share with you! Here’s one of them, it’s by Voir Voir Women and goes perfectly with my absolute most favorite shoes (I even told the butcher to bury me in them) they are Nine West and I’ve had them for years but they’re a unique shade of blue so whenever I find an outfit that matches them I am elated!

Lord love a scarf

it’s rainy and humid and yucky today. which means two things for sure; it’s a perfect day to go to the movies, and…I’m going to have a bad hair day. so what better time than today to try out one of my vintage scarves (I recently scored a ton of them for 35 cents a piece at a local thrift shop!!!) and capitalize on my bad hair day/Afro with a 70’s look! And to top it off I added my 70’s forever 21 shades and my most comfortable wide leg jeans from the gap. Off to the movies we go!
